ACAP Practice Test Week

If your grade level would like to go to the track on Tuesday or Thursday for recess, please let me know, so I can make sure we don't double up and I can make Officer Antonio aware.  I'm giving permission for Thursday recess this week. I hope the weather cooperates.

Don't Forget your Read Aloud!  Everybody should have a read aloud time.  The book should be one or two grade levels above your grade level. Pre-teaching vocabulary would add such a great punch! If you need help choosing a read aloud for your class, visit with Mrs. Watts or Mrs. Prickett.  They have some great ideas.  It's also fun to listen to books read by actors.

p. 47
"When you encourage each other, you make one another stronger and you make the team stronger."

"Each individual contributes to the collective optimism, belief, and positivity of a team. The fact is if you don't have it, you can't share it."

P. 49
"A simple shift of a few words has the power to change the way you and your team approach everything,.  Instead of talking about what you HAVE TO DO, start acknowledging what you, GET TO DO"

"When you replace HAVE to with GET to, you change a complaining voice to an appreciative heart. And, when you appreciate, you elevate yourself and your team."
