Please keep Jenni Scott in your prayers as she continues to deal with significant back pain and possible surgery.

Also, remember Tina Fortenberry.  Ellianna is being admitted to Children's with high fever and wheezing.  They have diagnosed her with Stridors.

The Camp-a-thon is Sunday, October 6, beginning at 2:00 and lasting to 5:00.  Please come out, if only for a short amount of time, and support our PTO.  The pledge gathering part went exceedingly well.  I can't wait to see the silent auction baskets!

Image result for take note clip artPST Notes have been added to the Teacher's Resources Drive in a PST folder.  Please make sure you are aware of what you need to bring to PST. The retesting window for STAR for this meeting is October 7 and 8.  Those would also be a great dates to pull TTR reports.

Teachers Advisory Committee Q & A

1. Is there a way to know when birthdays are? There have been so many in August that I was unaware of after the fact, and I wanted to be able to wish them a special day.  Several weeks ago the Grace Committee started a bulletin board in the teacher workroom next to the cafeteria that list all the birthdays for the current month. Thank you Grace Group!

2. If the principal says something that we perceive as inappropriate, what is the reporting mechanism?  There is a reporting form available at the Board office.

3. What can be done to boost the low morale? Moral is impacted greatly by involvement. Participate in our Secret Pal plan, join in after school events such as PALs academy, PTO events and our upcoming paint part. Plan a team activity specifically for your team outside of school. Practice gratitude by encouraging others. Join a leadership team and impact an event.  Nominate others for Team Member of the Month.  Make suggestions to the Leadership Team. Consider joining our voluntary prayer group.  Get involved with the upcoming Red Ribbon Week. The people choosing to participate in these opportunities seem to have the most positive outlook and enjoy work the most.

4. What is the best method of communicating with the principal without feeling attacked or incompetent after?  Communication is so important and it is never my intention to create those feelings.  Bring another team member with you or ask Mrs. Rosetta or Mrs. Osburn to come with you. It is my desire to have open communication with everyone.

5. Why can we not determine the best intervention plan as a team and implement it sooner than a week (or more) after PST meetings? Changes will be made to effect this problem with our next PST meeting in October. Interventions will be ready to roll out on the following Monday.

Image result for student supervision

The number of students on the back hall and the number we have walking and riding bikes has caused more traffic in the back hall.  It seems that the walkers and bikers are not supervised in the hallway.
Please follow these procedures during dismissal:

2:57 - Have your students packed up and ready to leave your room.  Line them up in two lines inside your classroom. LINE 1: Bilkers/Walkers/After School Care  Line 2: Car Riders and Bus Riders.

3:00 - Please stand at your door and supervise the students leaving the classroom and the others coming down the hall.

@3:05 - the Call for Line 2 will be made.  You should still be standing in the hallway until the end of the student line passes by your door.

If you have duty, send your students to a teammates room no later than 2:55.

Mrs Rosetta or I will do our best to be on the back hall during dismissal.
