K/1 - Monday @ 12:30

Second and Third- Tuesday @ 12:00  Ms Peggy is making "to-go" lunches for you.  She needs your lunch choices Monday morning. I would suggest you pick those up no later than 11:00.  You can eat in your classroom or at your class tent.

Fourth and Fifth -Wednesday @ 12:00 Ms Peggy is making "to-go" lunches for you.  She needs your lunch choices no later than Tuesday morning. I would suggest you pick those up no later than 11:00.  You can eat in your classroom or at your class tent.


Please read the section above concerning your afternoon for participating in outdoor field games.  Make sure you communicate with your parents about water bottles (you may choose to bring a cooler for your class) sun screen, hats, tennis shoes and outdoor play clothes etc........   Also, stay in communication with Peggy about your lunches and the time you will need them.

Schedule Changes for May 18- May 27


 All Specials will meet as typically scheduled this week.  Friday, May 21 will be the last day for Specials.

PE will also meet at the typical time, however some locations have changed.


Wednesday - May 19
2nd, 3rd and 1st Grade PE classes will be outside. Please meet Coach Garrett on the front porch at your regular PE time.  K, 4th and 5th grades will be meeting in the gym.

Thursday - May 20
PE will be on the track for all grades.  Please meet Coach on the front porch.

Friday - May 21
All PE Classes will meet as normal with the exception of Kindergarten.  Please meet Coach Garrett in the car line area at your typical time.

Monday - May 24
K and 1 Field Games  12:30 -2:30
PE for all other grades on the Track

May 14th - Friday is a big day for our fifth graders. Please review the recess and PE changes, as well as the plan for the Clap Out.  All located in the previous Blog Post (5/5) Please plan to be in place no later than 8:20.  I encourage you to make signs, banners etc....   to cheer on the wonderful fifth graders!

Reminder:  There will be NO specials Friday.  If Wednesday or Thursday are typically your NO Specials day, you should expect Specials on those days this week! 



Here's  your link to End of Year Checklist.  Please do not bring things to the office to turn in.  We'll have collection areas in the library or cafeteria set up later.  We'll let you know! Disclaimer: We may make a few changes throughout next week. But, we wanted you to go ahead and have access to the document. I wouldn't suggest printing it yet.

We are gathering our Placement Cards for next school year early.  The BOE needs class list early to start work on scheduling in the new PowerSchool platform.  Please turn yours in to Rosetta by Friday, May 14.  The colors are particular to your grade level.  The sheet of cards in the different color is for your retentions. 


It's a Party - May 27th

We are working on plans to celebrate out retirees from last year and this year.

Details on celebration will be sent later --

There is some card stock on counter in office workroom If you would like to submit a memory page for Jana Feild (give it to Barbara)

We will put these memory pages in a basket for each retiree.

 

We will be passing an envelope around for donations for our celebration . . . $10 (or more if you can) . . . remember we are celebrating 6!!!



We are updating Performance Series information for Wall of Fame this weekend.  If you have a student who takes the test as a make up later this week, please send us an email so we will check the scores.  Otherwise, we will not look at Performance Data again this year!


LAST DAY for DreamBox and AR to effect EOY Awards is MAY 18!

Our Secret Pal reveal will happen May 20th!

Special Instructions for Recess and PE - Friday May 14

 

May 14 – Directions and Changes for K-4

Friday will be a NO Specials Day for everyone - for the Week of May 10th


Clap Out Directions

Second and Fourth graders should line both sides of the back hall beginning with the area around the fourth grade classrooms and ending at the cross through hall

 First Grade should line the sides of the cross through hall on the BRICK side of the hallway.

 Kindergarten should line the cafeteria side of the cross through hall.

 All Third graders will be outside lining the front walk.  As soon as the last Fifth Grader comes out, they need to head to the gym.  They can all enter the front doors of the gym.

 

Alternate PE Plan

Second, Third and Fourth Grade PE will be in the gym at your regular time.

Kindergarten will have PE at your regular time, but you will need to meet Coach Garrett behind the building.  You will take and pick up your classes at the doors between the second grade and the new storm shelter.


Alternate Recess Plan (Many outside areas will be used for the Fifth graders)

Fourth Grade will all use the Big Playground

Our Science Olympiad Teams were WINNERS at the recent competition hosted by Auburn University.  Team #1 came in FIRST PLACE! and Team #2 came in Third Place.  Congratulations to our students and their fantastic 
Coach, Lisa Rish!



We had lunch from Three Eared Rabbit and received a gift card from Wrapsody to celebrate Principal's day.  Thank you all so much!  Every day I have the opportunity to spend at 301 Parkway Dr. it is a good day. I love this place!
