Veterans Day is right around the corner, November 8.  We will host our Veterans for a program and have Essay Winners read their essays.  Essays are due to Mrs. Tyner, by November 1st.  One winner will be chosen from each grade, 1-5.  The Prompt:  What does Veterans Day mean to me? 






This week's PD is packed with exceptional opportunities!  Mrs. Rosetta has prepared excellent information for our data meetings.  Please consult the calendar to see when your data meeting is scheduled and plan to meet across PE and Specials.  Thursday, Cahaba will host the District Literacy Collaboration. I'm excited for our friends to see our school, our halls and classrooms.



We will update the Wall of Fame each week.  Math Teachers! please let Mrs. Rosetta know if you have any students who have completed all of their DreamBox standards.

Playground Update!

Preparation for the new addition to the K/1 playground will start Wednesday, October 16! We may be without the playground through the end of the month.  Please use the area in front of the school to play.  You may choose to go to the track, but it takes a while to get out there.  You will probably only want to do that once a week. 



This showed up on my FB feed this week and it really made me think. We all have so much to be thankful for! Let's make this a great week, "life is about the thousands of reasons to be grateful and happy"
