Please go ahead and send out a google sign up form OR sign up genius to your parents through your distribution list sometime this week.  The form should have designated time in 15 min. increments. Once you have your schedule for the day established, Nancy will need a copy.

PTO will provide a snack supper for us around 4:00.

December 15 is a 1/2 day for students, but a full day for teachers.  As a thank you and make up time, you will be allowed to leave as soon as the students leave the campus on that day.

FAQ
1. What if I already have a conference set up this week for one of my students?  Do I have to schedule another conference on October 10th?    If you've had a conference with the parent during the month of September, you don't have to meet with them again.  But, I would make the offer.  They may want to come.

2.  What is a Student Led Conference?  Students show work from their portfolio and review their personal data with their parents.  Instead of you initiating the conversations, the child does.  Lisa has pulled several articles concerning student lead conferences to share with you.  I would suggest have the students practice their skills by presenting to a friend during intervention the week before.

3.  What if the parents don't sign up for a conference time?  Our goal is to have a face to face meeting with all parents by mid October.  If they don't sign up and you haven't had a conference with them this year, please call them and set up another time for them to come.

ALWAYS remember!  Conferencing 101:  Share multiple positive things with parents before discussing areas of growth.
