Thoughts from this week.........
*Please feel comfortable assigning your students independent work between 2:15-3:00 during August. You can use this time to work in Schoology.
*If someone in your classroom gets sick and it requires custodial clean up, please call the office. Don't just "grab a custodian" from the hall. This will put a plan in action for temporarily relocating your class.
*Please make sure you have a Rainy Day plan for all of your walkers/bikers
*Here's the link to our Teacher Handbook (in Teacher's Resources)
*Here's the link to our Q & A Doc (in Teacher's Resources)
*Nancy cannot stop what she is doing and call parents about afternoon transportation concerns. Please take care of this during your PE or Specials time.
Officer Antonio will be dropping in classrooms this
week to meet the students.
We will start Husky Paws this week. Friday afternoon, the Husky Prize Patrol will visit classrooms. Cissie put some in your box!
Cleaning supplies update......
Monday morning every classroom will receive 2 containers of Disinfectant Wipes. These are for teacher use. Your desk, your phone, your keyboard etc....... All employees will receive a spray bottle with a liquid disinfectant spray we purchased from AAA. This spray kills Corona and many other viruses. Paper Towels are coming too. We'd like for the students to use this on their desks and tables. As well as anything else you'd like to use it on. We also have a can of Disinfectant Spray. Remember, Do Not spray aerosol spray around the students. You can use this to disinfect manipulatives and playground equipment. Let us know if you have any questions.
We didn't have a chance to review the handbook this year. Rosetta has helped me update it and copy is in the shared drive. Every week, I'll post a couple of pages. If you have questions about the handbook, please let us know.
This is a picture of the form Nurse Donna is using in the Clinic for communicating with use about students that are sent home with Covid Symptoms. The list of symptoms are handy for all of us!
The technology department has asked that you check your projectors, classroom sound systems, interactive boards, and desk phone to make sure they are all working correctly. If you find any problems, please submit a WORF
Please help us get our tent idea going by filling in this form Do You Have a Tent? This form is also in the Shared Drive.
There's a template for your schedule loaded in the Teacher Resource Drive. Please get this done this week.
As we continue to have great conversations about Schoology and how it works with Options A, A-Blended, B and C, I've found that we are all in different places with our understanding and ability to meet expectations. I've also found that every single one of you are working hard and doing your very best to make this transition. We are all in a productive place.
Some key concepts to remember:
EVERY Option uses Schoology.
The teacher chooses the resources to use in Schoology
Everyone follows TCS pacing guides and curriculum guides
SchoolsPLP is a resource - we have MANY excellent resources
Schoology takes the place of Google Classroom
And they keep coming!
Options A and A-Blended: 400
Options B and C: 93
