I pulled this from our Teacher Handbook - Just a reminder!

Before the holidays I suspended the playing of football and soccer during recess because of the uptick in students being physically aggressive. I would still like to stick with that decision with an addendum.  Students can earn the right to play football or soccer on Fridays or possibly every 2 weeks as an "extra" recess.  I'll leave that up to you.  Maybe they'll use better judgement if they have to earn it.

Reading AIMSWeb 

Please talk to your students about the importance of these Reading AIMSWeb assessments! We'll be following the same testing plan as we did for the Fall testing. We will start tomorrow morning with first grade.  I've asked that students not be pulled from PE, Specials and recess.  If they get to a block of time that first grade is all out of the classrooms, they'll move to second and then third.  Be prepared for students to be pulled Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Kindergarten is scheduled for later in the month.
