Weekly Update~

Two of our students lost their Dad to an untimely death.  Please remember Amare (Latham) and AMya (Mills) Short in your prayers.

A fifth grader, Laine Walker (Crocker), also experienced loss in another way.  His house sustained significant damage from a fire.  Please contact Jami M if you would if you would like to contribute to a "happy basket" for him and check out the needs listed in Neighborhood Bridges too.  There is a collection for gift cards for the family.

Tony sent me this prayer request :  Tanya went for a CAT scan of her chest on Monday.  She has a 2cm x 2cm nodule in her upper left lung.  It was not there in 2017.  They feel that whatever it is, it's slow growing.  They will biopsy this as soon as they feel they can safely get her into the hospital.

Yesterday, I received the following information from Dr. Berry.  Please take a look, it's really some great resources, and share with your parents.

April C and I created a  “one stop shop” with information relative to school resources/programs we currently use at our schools as well as additional resources parents might want to check out. The resources are optional and can be used for enrichment. This page is located on each school’s website.  Everyone will access by hovering over For Students and then click in the drop down menu Optional Enrichment Opportunities. Also, it is located on our main TCS website under “Latest news”. Our teachers have done a GREAT job of providing optional, enrichment resources so this is to supplement what they have been sharing.

Dr. Neill also reached out and asked for our students to write letters to local health care providers.  That information is posted on the Cahaba FB page. Please share with parents!  This was another great idea!

You all deserve a Gold Medal for all your efforts to stay connected with the students. I would like to also suggest that you consider going  "old school" with this and call them and/or send them a letter.  I know they would love to hear from you!
