Some take aways from last week...................
- If you happen to see acts of physical aggression between students in the hallway or other areas of the building, you may take them to your room and call the office, or take them back to their homeroom teacher. Our camera system has been very helpful this year in solving mysteries very quickly without interrupting instructional time.
- Please take a few minutes this week to talk to your students about being a "hall buddy". Explain their responsibility to report any problems to the nearest adult. Don't send students with significant behavior issues anywhere without an adult.
- If one of your students suffers ANY kind of injury, jot a note (can be nurses note) send an email or make a phone call to their parents. I promise, it'll save you time later.
I'm sure you've heard the sobering news about Ford Bertram's recent leukemia diagnosis. Ford is the grandson of our friend and colleague, Lisa Lothspeich, and the brother of our Kindergarten student (Cates), Beau Bertram. This week there will be a basket in the office that we'd like to fill with snacks, small toys, and other comfort items that will help them as they spend many long days at the hospital. We'll be delivering the basket next weekend. Please contribute!
This month is full of great opportunities for social studies and/or science lessons. Please remember Black History Month, President's Day and Heart Health Month!
This week we Celebrate our PE Teachers! We love Coach Giangrosso and Coach Harrington!
