In an effort to help parents and me, some of you are finding ways on SuccessMaker to report "time spent" to parents. This week, I ran into a situation where the information that you are finding does not match my report! We are investigating and we will come up with a solution! Until then, please only update data notebooks and answer parent questions with the printouts that I give you. And, I promise I'm going to do a better job of getting those to you every 2-3 weeks. If you need something sooner or I need a nudge, PLEASE let me know. It doesn't take that terribly long to do, I just forget.
During the month of February I plan to highlight a few African American Heroes as a part of morning announcements. If there is a particular person you would like for me to include, please let me know. If any of your students write poetry or an essay that could be read, let me know! They can share too.
We will have a MultiCultural Celebration Week - April 17-21. This committee will meet soon to start planning this special week. Please let me, Lisa Rish, Angela Shorter or Amy Prickett know if you'd like to join us in planning.
Grade Level Meetings this week - please bring your Vision Board and a couple examples of your data notebooks (each teacher) We will not have a staff meeting this week!
