You will have access to Power School and therefore your class lists Monday.  WARNING!  Please don't share!  1. Some of these students haven't registered! We don't share a teacher name with them until after they register.  These people will not get a teacher letter!  2. Teacher letters for registered students will be emailed through a staggered plan.  Mon, Aug. 1 - Fourth and Fifth   Tues, Aug. 2 - Second and Third    Wed, Aug 3 - Fourth and Fifth.  I typically make changes until my deadline. Also, Make sure you don't have anything visible with student names unless you have verified with Nancy that they are registered.

PLEASE: 

Make sure parents know about the changes to dismissal 

Find out how students will be dismissed

Get phone numbers for parents (sometimes the PS numbers are already wrong)

Make contact with any parents of REGISTERED students that didn't show up for

First United Methodist Church will host a Prayer Walk at  Cahaba this Wednesday at 6:30. They will be outside of the building.  We were all invited join.

Tomorrow - Tuesday, will be a Painting Day at Cahaba.  Our focus will be bathrooms and hallways. 

Welcome to our newest staff member, Meredith McDonald.  Our increasing enrollment earned us an additional first grade teacher.  She has spent the last 7 years as a first grade teacher at Deer Valley in Hoover.  I can't wait for you to meet her!

Friday - August 5 at 8:15 - We will gather at Magnolia for breakfast (provided by FBC) and PD led by Dr. Poovey and Dr. Berry.  I've had a preview and I think you all are going to enjoy the discussion.

Lunch will be on your own and the afternoon is yours to prepare for Meet the Teacher! I know you will work your magic and our building will look fantastic.  Before you leave - Please get your NEW staff shirt! You'll need to wear it Monday.

Monday - August 8 will start at 8:00 sharp in the library.  Our PTO is partnering with Faith Community Church to provide breakfast.  Immediately following breakfast - around 8:45 - we will take our annual staff picture.  After the picture we'll meet in the library until lunch.  Lunch will be on your own with Convocation beginning at 1PM.  I'm asking that you all try to sit together and be seated no later than 12:50

Tuesday - August 9 will start at 8:00 with Chic-fila Biscuits and staff meeting in the library. Lunch will be on your own and the afternoon is reserved for planning and other small meetings.
