Please keep extra masks in your classroom for students. Donna has the supply
Keeping up with the demand for paper towels is challenging, but we are committed to making sure you have what you need. Remember, the blue shop towels should be used with the disinfectant spray to clean hard surfaces. If you can tear them in half, please consider doing that. Also, make sure students don't use them to dry their hands. The cheap ones work for that!
Please use Husky Paws at your duty post to reward student who are doing the right thing
You will receive a prompt to reset your password Tuesday morning. Below are some password reset recommendations.
- We strongly recommend that you hardwire to the network when changing your password.
- Once your password is changed it can take up to 15 minutes for that password to sync to our email server.
- Once your password is changed staff will need to update their passwords anywhere they are signed in (TCS Staff WiFi on their phones, email on their phones, etc)
- We recommend using a complex password. Choose a password that you haven’t used before, that doesn’t contain your name, and doesn’t mimic something easily guessable (Welcome1, Welcome2, RollTide!, etc). Password requirements are as follows: Minimum of eight characters and contain three of the following four (uppercase letter, lowercase letter, number, or special character).
Prickett collaborated with the librarians at PES and MES to come up with a great plan for us to use during Black History Month. I have a series of facts about African American heroes to use during announcements. There are also lessons loaded in Schoology Library courses. I'm looking forward to us learning together.
Questions/Discussions from the Leadership Team Meeting
Masks - Let's try to avoid sending students to the nurse to get masks. Ask parents to send extras for the student to keep in their cubbies and also keep a box in your room. Donna can get you some for your supply.
Do you have any information about when we will get vaccinated? I don't have any additional information, but I know that Dr. Logan has been tirelessly working on a plan. I feel confident that our leadership is doing what they can to make the vaccine available to us as soon as possible.
Until recently, all students eating breakfast stayed in the cafeteria until 7:50. Recently they have been dismissed as they finish eating to find a "dot" in the hall. The consensus of the group was to continue sending them as they finish eating.
When is Social Studies adoption? This Spring
We are still feeling overwhelmed......can anything be taken off? I feel really good about what we've been able to do to help different teams when things were getting really stressful. I can't meet your individual needs, if I don't know about them. PLEASE, come talk to me or send me an email and we'll brainstorm some options. I love the fact that 60% of you have not taken advantage of a "helping hands" sub because you don't want to be away from your students. But, the people who have taken advantage of this opportunity really feel better about their work load after having a 1/2 day to catch up and they are a better version of themselves for their students the next day. I appreciate every effort that you make every day to serve our students. Let me know if you need help.
