Like most of you, coming back to work after an extended break is difficult for me. I really hate getting out bed in the morning when it's cold and dark outside. I enjoyed being a bit lazy! Tina shared this meme on our FB page. I've read it before, but I really needed the reminder as I get ready to welcome our students.

Before the break, I emailed 2nd-5th teachers the number of minutes assigned to the ACAP test by content area. Please let me know what your team prefers for a testing schedule.
Start this week with expectations for this month. You may choose to do that through a "family meeting", conferring with students while using their data notebooks, or whatever way you choose. You may even want to share the ONE WORD your team chose.
Please wait until Wednesday to start STAR testing and choose times that you think your students will give their optimal effort. Don't forget to talk to Pennington and Young about their students BEFORE testing. Don't forget your 504 kiddos. Rachel or I can answer any questions about their testing.

Thank you for your engagement Friday. Your questions and ideas are so important to who we are. Stay tuned for a fabulous plan for professional development and a new progress report for our RTI students.
