December 16th is Polar Express Day. Please do your best to schedule a guest reader (don't forget the form) to read this wonderful book to your class. I do ask that you not show the movie. A clip of the movie, if the weather causes indoor recess, or if it contributes to an instructional activity is permissible. There are so many fantastic academic activities related to this book. All you have to do is google!
Please take some time this week to look at your students's DreamBox accounts. You should assign any standards from the previous year that they still have not mastered. You can also assign standards that you taught during the first trimester that are have not been mastered.
Tuesday, we are planning on having the ribbon cutting for our new playground addition. We ask that Kindergarten and First grade students come to the playground at 9:30 and line up behind the basketball goal for the picture. We have a sign ready for you to hold. At 9:40, 1st grade will go to PE and Kindergarten can finish your recess time. Thank you for your patience! I hope the kiddos love it!
