We all know we have the BEST PTO in the land and you haven't even seen all the wonderful things they have planned for Teacher Appreciation Week and our EOY luncheon! Barbara and I have hatched a plan for thanking them. Later today, I'll email you a list of our PTO ladies and the jobs they have done this year. PLEASE take some time to choose at least 5 of them to write a personal thank you letter to. Barbara is collecting the letters. After two weeks, we will sort the letters and put them into gift bags and gift them to our biggest fans, the PTO. Let's get busy and make this a special gift for some selfless people.
It's also time to nominate for Team Member of the Month! This month's nominees should come from our classified staff; office staff, paraprofessionals, assistants, cafeteria ladies and custodians. Most recently we've honored, Tony Gagliano (12/18) and Karen Gudgen ( 8/18) Start sending in those nominations!
State Testing was flawless! I appreciate Rosetta's attention to detail and all of you for being so incredibly flexible. Make up testing will be this week and then next we start performance testing (k-2) and soon after, STAR.
Our School Board will have it's annual retreat this Monday. They are scheduled to tour our new classrooms and playground around 10:30. I present late Monday afternoon.
Please check the calendar (Wednesday and Thursday) for the times for your kids rewards for the the Principal's AR Challenge. All the Animal Shows will be in the gym. PE will be on the track or the Amphitheater, depending on weather. The "fun and games" for 4th and 5th will be on the track!
EMT (Elementary Math Teachers) Studio Days will be held the morning of the 24th. We'll have guest from Paine visiting selected classrooms.
We are working hard to update the Wall of Fame at least once a week. We don't want to miss a soul that should be recognized at our Award's Ceremonies!
- Rosetta checks all Performance Scores
- YOU turn in student's names who have mastered grade level DB standards to Rosetta
- Tyner is checking for Millionaires
If you think we have missed somebody, please do not hesitate to email us. Every "paw pad" is important to our students!
