Please consider making Halloween a fun and educational day by having the students rotate through all the classrooms/teachers in your grade level for standards based/holiday themed experiences. Please let me know if your grade level chooses this option. It sure makes for a great day for our kiddos while not sacrificing instructional time.
Our Cahaba Prayer group meets every Wednesday morning at 7:20 in the Collaboration Room. Everyone is welcome! If you have prayer request, please send them to me Linda Odom or Jana Feild.
Please make sure that you are sharing lunch with your kiddos. It's an important time to build relationship capacity and for you to hear what they are discussing. Many teachers have been able to head off big discipline issues because they overheard something at lunch. It's the concept as eating dinner with your family. It matters.
Monday Afternoon - Please meet on the front porch at 2:20. Wear your Tribe Shirt for a staff picture.
Red Ribbon Week Starts Wednesday!
Carley Bridges (Sabrina's sub) wants to sub at Cahaba. She asked me to share her phone number. She is in Ready Sub. 256-558-0778
The Teacher of the Year Committee will meet Tuesday afternoon. Please send nominations to Tyner, Ellison, Prickett, or Osburn.
Greer Leo Osburn was born Sunday morning at 9:51 am He weighs 7lbs 4oz and he's 21 inches long. Greer and Mom and doing well!
Please welcome Mrs. Erica Hankins ! She will be filling in for Mrs. Osburn while she is out.
This year's Rock-a-thon was a huge success. We had so much fun! Thank you to all that came and supported our PTO and their efforts to make sure we have the very best. I especially appreciate Mrs. Rosetta and Mr. Tony for staying through the end and clean up. I had to head out to Mississippi around lunch for the presentation of an Award in Perry's memory at her High School.
