Please check your Dreambox settings and turn the Arcade OFF! Students are logging in minutes on DreamBox and some are doing most of it on the game. Arcade can be used at your discretion as an incentive.
Please remember! Students should NEVER sit out of recess to complete work. If completion of work is a problem you are having, please let me know and we'll work on another option.
You can google and find study after study about the power of being grateful. For me, our Team Member of the Month recognition is a window into the level of expressed gratitude of our staff. When we started TOM, I would receive 6-7 nominations. And, that was after asking several times over a week. Friday, you precious people sent in 20 nominations in just 3 hours. What a great thing to be able to say about our staff! We love each other, we want to recognize each other and we are grateful for each other. #goals #growth #blessed (there's still time to send in more nominations!)
Our first PALS Academy is here! PLEASE encourage your students to bring their parents and the device they use at home for accessing Clever. If you can come and help, we'd sure appreciate it. All workers are wearing a black shirt. We are using an EdCamp format and the classes start at 5:30, Tuesday evening. Pizza supper, drinks and desserts for all teachers who stay to help @ 4:45 in the cafeteria.
Recess Equipment: Rosetta has been collecting recess equipment from the front lawn for weeks. If you are missing something, please go by her office. We are considering using them for door prizes in our next staff meeting!
Many of you are copying me on your weekly newsletters and I really appreciate that! If you aren't, PLEASE add me to your Newsletter distribution list. I also need to be a part of of your closed Facebook pages. If you haven't already invited me, please do so today!
Shout Out to all of you for your wonderful attitude concerning our construction mess, no playground, and second graders scattered all over the building. Not once have I heard one of you complain. Barry told me last week that we would be able to move into the new area before Christmas, if not sooner.
Our Teacher's Advisory Counsel will gather Wednesday afternoon to compile your questions into a document for me. If you have anything for them, please get it to them asap. Gudgin, Prickett, Ford, Shannon, Marshall, Mince
