- Design and create a common student data binder/folder for your grade level
- Establish a clear plan for Student Led Conferences

Wednesday is National Walk to School Day!  Encourage your students by sending out the link Coach G sent you as well as walking with some of your students and/or meeting students at the front of the school Wednesday morning.

Wednesday afternoon we'll kick off our fund raising campaign for the Rockathon at 2:15 in the gym.  All proceeds will go towards expanding the 2-5 playground.  It will be recolated prior to the construction for the new addition.  PLEASE make plans to attend at least a portion of the Rockathon - October 28th.

Principal's Advisory Team discussed.....
1.  Can we have numbers or paw prints on the floor to create a line to lead to the tray return?   I will talk to the PTO about a volunteer to help make that happen
2.  Can you clarify what we should be doing the Intervention/ Enrichment time slot in the afternoons.
During this 30 minute time block every child should have their academic needs met through a variety of resources: pull out T2 interventions, small group intervention within your classroom, use of Study Island for enrichment or re medication (2-5), DreamBox and AR work and a pletheria of enrichments activities that are being developed.  This will be a topic during collaborataions and PD.  Please continue to ask questions and share your ideas. 
3.  What programs and assemblies are planned for this year?  A Veteran's Day School Wide Program - the morning of Nov. 9 and Assemblies at the end of each trimester to celebrate student success. 
4.  Can you clarify the bathroom cleaning schedule?  Sometime it is closed when we need it.  I will talk to Mrs. Kelley this week and get something posted on the blog asap.
5.  What's the status of the keyless entry for the door by the fifth grade classrooms?  The local school,   Cahaba will have to pay for the swipe.  We currently saving money so we can hopefully purchase one next summer. 
   
Follow up to question #4 - 
The Gang Bathrooms are closed and cleaned on a schedule:
Restroom beside the Lunchroom:  8:00 am
Restroom by 4/5: 9:00 am
Restroom by 2/3: 1:00 pm

They will be ready for use approximately 15 minutes after they are cleaned.  If a closed bathroom is a problem for you, please adjust your schedule 15 minute OR let me know if it's a huge scheduling problem for your grade level and Kathy will adjust her schedule.
