Reminders 

1. Nominate a K, 1 or 2 teacher for Team Member of the Month by Tuesday

2. Interventions end May 10

3. Please give me a 24 hour heads up to find coverage for you to attend your personal students EOY programs and awards

4. Parent Presentation hosted by our students who have completed EnRICh opportunities are for Parents and Grandparents only. No siblings should be released from class to attend these presentations.

5. Siblings will not be released from your classroom to attend the EOY Awards programs of their siblings unless they are checked out by the parent.

6. Recess should last 15 minutes. Extra recess earned through reward should occur at a different time, not added onto your typical recess.

Jake Garrett will be transferring to the High School next year to teach PE and Coach Football.  

Michelle Searcy is making to move to home to stay home with her little boys.  Her oldest will be here next year for Kindergarten!

McKinna Fulmer is going back to school to earn her BCBA certification.  

I'm happy and proud for each of you and so thankful for the positive differences you made while you were at Cahaba.

After two emails and a social media blitz, we couldn't muster enough interest to support a Multicultural Celebration this year.  We will try again next year!

It's time to nominate a friend for Team Member of the Month!  This month let's nominate a Kindergarten, First or Second grade teacher.  Our most recent honorees from this group were Bridges and Patterson.  

Please keep Kristy Windham, her family and especially her mother in your prayers.  Kristy's mom, Kathy Fallin, is having open heart surgery Monday.

The School Board will be visiting all the schools Monday.  They will visit Cahaba 9:00-9:45.  My theme for the morning is "Cahaba develops student Leaders".  Members of our EnRICh experience, "The Voice" will present in the Curiosity Cave with members of the HTHS Leadership class.  We'll move down the hall to Mrs. McIntosh's room where they will hear all about "Cahaba Mentors" and our CES Dogs.  Mrs. Latham and Mrs. Pennington are collaborating with Mrs. McIntosh on this presentation. Before they leave, we'll go back to the library and hear from a couple of students who participated in "Trussville 360".  I don't expect to go to the back hall at all.

Expect  guest around all week.  The team completing our Vulnerability Study will be all around, inside and out.  We will also have Chad Summers and Marc Ward taking video around campus!  Look for a Cahaba Visitor Sticker or a TCS badge.  If you aren't sure about someone, never hesitate to text Officer Antonio, me or anyone in the office.

Reminders.........

- We are testing on the front hall ALL DAY.  Please do your best to avoid taking your class down the hall between the library and the Art Room

- If you choose recess on the playground - Students and balls must stay away from the windows on the front hall

- No more than 2 classes on the little playground and 3 on the big playground 

- You may choose to use the track for recess. If you do, please let me and Officer Antonio know.

- If you can, it would make a tremendous difference in your morning and the morning of you students, if you would plan to be at school a little earlier. Start the day right ❤

The PTO will have snacks in the workroom for you this week.  Food always helps!
