It's time to nominate for Team Member of the Month!  This month's nomination should be a Specialist or Exceptional Ed. teacher.  Our last honoree from this group was Amanda Pennington.  I look forward to seeing your nominations!

Valentine Party Guidelines

1. All parties will be February 14th

2. Grade levels should have parties at the same time. Send your time to Nancy.

3. Parties may not start before 8:30.  

All parties should end before 2:15. Parties should 

     not last more than an hour.

3 No more that four (4) parents should come to help.

4. Turn in a visitor's form with the names of your "helpers"   

Nancy will not allow other parents to join the party.

2:05 - 2:55 is dedicated to enrichment and remediation.  Students going to TTR should not feel like they are "missing class".  This is not a time for crafting or extra recess.

PLEASE turn in your new STAChe Goal!  

Teacher's Advisory Council will meet Wednesday afternoon.  If you have questions please submit them to a member before then.  The members all have a "red dot" on their mail boxes.

We kicked off the City's Bicentennial Celebration Saturday at Cahaba.  Many thanks to the students in SHINE and Trussville 360 for showing up to represent our school.  We are so proud of you and thankful for your teachers that came today too. Hat's off to Tina Fortenberry, Jaime Giangrosso, Jana Feild and Amy Prickett. And, our faithful supporters Officer Bowen and Mr. Tony.  If you haven’t seen the stage, you need to check out Jenni Scott’s handiwork too! It was a great event!

The window for Performance Series Express starts this week.  January 21 - January 31   Please plan for students to finish testing before 1:30 -1:45, actively monitor testing ( don't allow students to click through) Ensure that all 504, ELL, and IEP accommodations are being given. There are no "do overs".  Put a sign on your door during testing so we won't bother you. 

Just a thought...........  Audio books can be a great choice for your read aloud.  This is a really good short article too....    Supercharged Read-Alouds

Please make sure you spend a few minutes sharing with your students about the meaning of MLK day.  There are many, many online resources.

All new PST referrals must be entered through the google forms by noon Monday.  Mrs. Rosetta makes the schedule for us and she needs time to get that done.



STAR and STAR EL must be finished by Wednesday.  If we are going to discuss the child at PST Wednesday, PLEASE make sure we have a current STAR and/or STAR EL score.  We also need a current STAR MATH on students being considered by the PST.

The results of your STACHe goals should be turned in Friday, Jan. 17! We'll do the pictures and mustaches the next week.

AFT will be in the building Monday.  If you'd like to visit, they will be in the back workroom.

Tuesday, January 14, Collaboration will meet across specials and PE in the collaboration room.  Please bring your computer.  You will be uploading evidence for STEM accreditation

Grades should be completed by the end of the day Tuesday, January 14, for grades 3-5.  Progress reports go home Friday.

Thursday District PD will be at Cahaba. Please refer to the email sent out earlier today for more information.
